State Award for Delivering Quality Healthcare

In October, the Pennsylvania Secretary of Health, Michael Wolf, presented the Titusville Area Hospital with the state's award for "Excellence in Health Care Compliance," an award recognizing the efforts of delivering consistent quality care to the citizens of the Commonwealth.  Titusville Area Hospital was one of seven selected for the award out of 220 health care facilities in the state and the only one in the northwest region of the state.  All licensed hospitals were eligible for the award and did not need to apply to be considered.

"Governor Corbett's Healthy Pennsylvania initiative focuses on ensuring affordable, quality health care for all Pennsylvanians and it's important that we recognize those facilities that are excelling at these goals, especially in a rural setting where the need is dire," said Wolf. "This award signifies the positive contributions and hard work of those who deliver top-notch care every day to the families and communities they serve."

"This recognition validates our commitment to providing the best patient care and our everyday effort to 'do things the right way.' Our board, medical staff and, most importantly our entire staff who impact patient care directly each and every day, deserve every bit of credit and gratification that comes with this award," stated Titusville Area Hospital President and CEO Anthony J. Nasralla. "We are a small, rural hospital doing our best to cope with a changing healthcare environment. What should not change is our dedication to quality care and a focus on our patients."
