Emergency Medicine

Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Emergency Department at Titusville Area Hospital offers quality, comprehensive emergency medical care to more than 12,600 patients each year.

With streamlined emergency procedures and advanced diagnostic processes our emergency medical team, of experienced physicians, specially trained nurses and other healthcare professionals, provides treatment for patients with a wide variety of medical needs.

Our medical team works together with specialists at partner facilities, like Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, to develop rapid triage processes and special response teams to identify cardiovascular and neurological problems and promptly route these patients through the necessary levels of care.

For patients requiring a higher level of care, we offer a wide-range of services and cooperative transfer agreements with major trauma centers.

The Emergency Department has its own entrance off of North Monroe Street with a patient loading/unloading zone and nearby parking.   Please leave the entrance clear for arriving and departing patients and ambulances.

Patients are treated based on the severity of their injury or illness. Those with highest risk of loss of life or limb are treated first.  No one is ever denied treatment in an emergency based on inability to pay nor is treatment ever denied based on gender, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or age.
